Baux de Provence

Located on a rocky outcrop in the chain of Alpilles which overlooks 200 meters campaign around, les Baux de Provence is proud to be one of the most beautiful villages of France. The houses in the village raise their Roman tiles roofs pink or grey-pink, salmon-pink or beige, and the old white stone mixes with the Mediterranean vegetation forming a striking contrast.

The village is dominated by a vast medieval fortress in ruins today. The plateau Castle offers a splendid panorama on the vineyards and fields of olive trees to the sea, which has inspired many painters like Cezanne or Van Gogh.
